Welcome to Season 2012

The off-season was a bee hive of activity for the coaches and committee for Metro United.

Planning was full steam ahead for the 2012 with the addition of 2 new junior teams and a fourth new senior side to build on the great success the club enjoyed in 2011 at its new home at Pooraka.

Over 25 new players have registered in an unprecedented surge of interest for the club, along with a host of new juniors.

Pre-season to date has been impressive with very high attendances, which though logistically difficult, seeing large numbers of players out training is a pleasing sight.

The club has set even higher ambitions for 2012, both on and off the pitch. 2011 set high benchmarks which we aim to surpass this season.

The wealth of new players has injected a sense of enthusiasm and blown any cob webs of complacency out of the playing group. Competition for playing positions will be fierce, but it will be this very competition that will bring out the very best in each individual player.

The Committee and coaches wish all the very best to all our teams and remind all our players that reward will go to those who earn it!
