Round 11 Preview: MUWFC vs. Fulham United

Round 11 Preview

MUWFC hosts Friday Night Football in Round 11 of the 2018 South Australian WNPL as we take on a winless Fulham United in the late game at VALO Football Centre – The Parks.

MUWFC have had a welcomed week off since our last game on May 4th against Cumberland which resulted in a 2-0 win and now sees us sitting 1st on the WNPL ladder. Thanks to a “Bye” in the Cup last weekend, the girls had a good chance to rest up some sore bodies and prime themselves for the 2nd half of the season, and a serious push towards silverware. Meanwhile, Fulham had their first win in all competitions last Friday night, beating State League side Campbelltown City 5-0 in their Cup game.

MUWFC will be looking to recreate the 9-0 scoreline from the last time the teams met in Round 4, which saw hat-tricks for Chrissy Panagaris, Rachael Quigley and Roxy Dodd. This week will also see the return of Lauren Steer to WNPL football as she has made a full recovery from an ACL injury from last season, after 2 successful matches in the Reserves.

Coach Marie Spagnoletti will take nothing for granted, but will still expect a relatively comfortable win in the chase for the Premiership.
