Round 3 Preview: Cumberland United vs. MUWFC

Round 3 of the 2018 South Australian WNPL sees MUWFC travel to The Shores Football Centre at West Beach for the first time in 2018 to face Cumberland United.

After a disappointing result against rivals Adelaide City last week, MUWFC will be looking to bounce straight back against a Cumberland United side who were beaten 1-0 by a 10 man Salisbury Inter, after Goalkeeper Sian McLaren was given her marching orders after just 6 minutes for making a brilliant save, but well outside the 18 yard box.

Club Captain Ebony Kyriacou will make her first WNPL start of the season after ankle surgery over the summer, after coming off the bench last week against Adelaide City, and having 2 WNPL Reserves games under her belt.

Chrissy Panagaris will be looking to continue her goalscoring form as the striker again netted against Adelaide City, making that 21 goals in her last 24 WNPL matches, as will Rachael Quigley who has 2 goals from her first 2 appearances in the Red shirt. Stella Rigon will line up after limping off after 30 minutes against City with a calf issue.
